CARDA established the Laura Sanborn Fund for Navigation Excellent in August of 2023 with a generous donation from the William and Margaret Reed family. Since then countless other donors have matched funds and created a directed giving plan for navigation tools (including Caltopo)
Laura was an extremely active member of CARDA for years, responding to searches with her dog Rikki, evaluating tests, coordinating large monthly workouts and as acting Vice President of CARDA. She had a passion for CARDA and being able to give back. She will be missed. She made a positive impact on this world through her commitment and contributions.
