When someone goes missing in California, CARDA’s K9 teams are ready to respond 24/7, 365 days a year. Our dogs are working athletes who deploy in demanding environments and all types of weather, and although field injuries are uncommon, they do happen. When they do, handlers may face unexpected veterinary costs on top of the many expenses they already cover.

All dogs pictured are safe and well. They get dirty and tired sometimes, and very rarely do sustain injuries (stinging nettles, ground wasps, tears to pads, rattlesnakes, sharp objects) and require emergency vet care.
